Saturday, October 22, 2005 ::: exhausting myself... i wanted a good sleep so badly but now i've got the opportunity to do it (finally!) i'm denying myself some good rest. in exchange for... damn. but that's so typical of me. you always want things you can't have, at that very moment. once you get it, you want something else. that's just only normal. the end of another module. this time round, it's quite fun and fulfilling. i remember how i used to think all those anatomy and management and tests etc etc were dull and annoying. but now, when i've just started to get a grip of ortho and realize it's quite fun actually and essentially (!) it's time to leave and get strapped to yet another rollercoaster ride. or maybe it's just that i've got REALLY cool group mates that made the whole learning experience actually fun and memorable. (good times in 5B! the 5 never-ending-sources-of-conversations...) orthopedics is fun but the examination was not. we were trained to become bones/joints/nerves examination machines. not good. even the fact that i had to criticize the videos pointing out there are mistakes in them thus also directly implying the unfairness this creates - is just plain pathetic. afterall that's what they want out of us. and when it's time for some real fun (surgery!) - duh, study some forensic (that you'll almost never get to use in your career anyway) study some drugs (oh wasn't i supposed to learn those stuff 3 months ago?) and forget about surgery for 2 weeks. and you get another 2 weeks to catch up before the start of another module. oh don't forget to write up that 1500 word report. and after the exam you might consider starting to study for the next, which isn't far away from now. that FA is already open for attempts. i'm almost telling a story here. * Ashlee's 'Coming Back For More', 'Dancing Alone' and 'I Am Me' are actually good tunes. Liz Phair's Somebody Miracle in HMV and they're selling that for $185. Rachel Steven's Come And Get It is no where to be seen. Somebody else has actually requested a copy according to that HK records guy. Quite amazing - who would do that? I thought I was the only one who even knows she (still) exists. * And oh, that awkward silence. I'm just not a social butterfly. It's bleak, but maybe that's just the way it is.
